The Green Bay Packers may have lost wide-receiver Jordy Nelson with a season ending knee injury.

Nelson, and the Packers were taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers in pre-season action when the injury occurred. Nelson was making a catch on the Packers first drive of the night.

He landed awkwardly and later limped off the field. The initial diagnosis, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said on Twitter, is a torn ACL, which would take him out of commission for the season.

A final diagnosis won't be made until the team arrives back in Green Bay. Nelson, a top target for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, is a huge loss for the signal caller.

"You hate to see [injuries] in preseason," he added, "because it doesn't count for anything."
