New Trailer Surfaces For “The Amazing Spider-Man 2″ Starring Jamie Foxx As Electro

Today marks the release of the teaser trailer for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" starring Jamie Foxx as the villian, Electro. The teaser shows and estimated release date of the sequel to last years blockbuster as July 19th, 2014 and has the hashtag, #ElectroArrives at the end of the 40 second video.

If you liked the latest installment in the "Spidey-lore", this one is sure to please. I would like to point out that last years "The Amazing Spider-Man" was not a revamp of the Tobey Maguire movies, but an alternate universe version that among us Marvel comic book nerds is referred to as the "Ultimate Universe".  If I just lost you there, this Spider-Man movie takes place in the same fictional universe as Avengers, the Iron Man trilogy, Captain America, Hulk & Thor movies. So yes, that universe where the Nick Fury character is black (vice the standard version which is not... as in please no one attack me with hate mail) and allows for an even bigger crossover movie.

I'm looking forward to seeing Jamie Foxx play the bad guy as I haven't seen him do so yet. He's a great actor/singer/comedian so I'm sure he'll take to the role as Denzel Washington did in Training Day.
