Adam and Lindsay Felis along with Brittany and Robert Fertig pause for a moment as they get ready to open their doors and start serving up great brews, food and atmosphere. What used to be Shadows Pub and Grill at 15 W. 15th Street in The Cheyenne Depot has changed hands and it’s name.

Cheyenne Brewing Company will start serving this morning at 11:00. They had tried about a week ago but a few crucial elements missed from suppliers. After all, a brewery has to have taps!

When my wife and I stopped by last week, the place was buzzing with hard work and, pardon the pun, good spirits. The varieties of beer and ale will be extensive and the menu looked really good as well. We got to sample their Cheese Sticks which are kind of standard in most restaurants, but here they proudly made them big and tasty. Mine had just the right balance of jalapenos and bacon. It was great. I'm looking forward to their version of tater tots that co-owner Adam is so thrilled about. Of course, it may take several visits to try their ribs, burgers and chicken & waffles.

The new owners are very excited to bring their brewing expertise and culinary skills to the heart of downtown Cheyenne. Their official Grand Opening will be in June, but this morning it’s a shakedown cruise for the new Cheyenne Brewing Company at The Depot Plaza.

Here’s wishing them well in their new venture and many patrons over the years.
