You may remember this fundraiser as 'Fill a Ford,'  which began six years ago with Phil Schmidt and Brian Scott.

We took in canned goods and non-perishables, did car washes in our drive-ups, had dunking stations, and collected cash. All of the employees, First Interstate and Greiner who gave to the event received matches from their respective employers to go to the food banks.

Neighbors Feeding Neighbors began five years ago through First Interstate Bank and First Interstate Foundation.

First Interstate Bank and the First Interstate Foundation worked together to identify issues facing our communities and how we could focus dollars in the most effective way. One of the areas we identified was that hunger was at the top of the list in all our communities. The result was establishing Neighbors Feeding Neighbors initiative where the First Interstate Foundation double matches our employees' dollars and volunteer hours to qualified food distribution agencies.

Join in this year's event Friday, August 15th from 11am -2:30pm for Famous Dave's BBQ, in the First Interstate Bank Plaza. Neighbors Feeding Neighbors has been very successful over the past five years due to some great sponsors and the community of Casper. Minimum donation is $10 per plate.

Over the last 5 years First Interstate bank has raised $680,408 through the Neighbors Feeding Neighbors program. In Casper alone, K-2 Radio, Greiner Ford, Johnson Restaurant Groups, Albertson's West, Pepsi and First Interstate Bank have raised over $115,258.41 that have gone to directly to food pantries here in Casper benefitting families in need.
