It was the Mustangs year. The Natrona County Mustangs football team pretty much shredded the entire state's 4A competition this year. To get to the State Championship game the Mustangs defeated Evanston 55-12 and Sheridan 27-0. The Mustangs, with a four quarter series of unstoppable scoring, clinched the 4A Wyoming State Football Championship 30-7, over the Gillette Camels, at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie on Saturday. This is the second time in two years the Mustangs have beat the Camels for the state title. Natrona County has won two of the last three state football championships. They lost to Cheyenne East in the 2013 state finals in Laramie. It was the Josh Harshman show for much of the day. Harshman threw and ran for scores picking apart the Gillette Camels defense with a key run near the end of the third quarter, of 42 yards,  on a first and 10 from the Gillette 43 for a score to put the Mustangs up 30-0. The Mustangs complete the season undefeated.
