The NCHS Mustang football team finished their first round of the State's 4A football playoffs the same way they ended the regular season. Undefeated. The Mustangs (10-0) scored the first 35 points of the game and cruised to a 55-12 win. The Mustang's advantage stood at 21-0 after the first quarter and would grow to 35-0 with 4:59 left in the half. Friday night was only the second time NC has allowed double-digit points all season, with the other coming in Week 0 against Cheyenne Central. One key stat for the Mustangs is they get to stay at home for the next round of the playoffs. The Mustangs have another playoff date at home against Sheridan, which beat Cheyenne Central 28-7, in next week’s semifinals.
