As Motley Crue continue to gear up for their extensive farewell tour this summer, word has slipped that the band might have another surprise up their sleeve. Producer James Michael, who also serves as the lead singer for Nikki Sixx’s group, Sixx A.M. recently revealed that he’s been working with the hair metal icons on what may just be the band’s final song.

“As we know, the Crue is getting ready to hang it up. And we discussed for a while doing a final song," Michaels said. "And that's a tall order. There was a lot of pressure on us to make sure that we did it right and that we celebrated everything that they were known for. So I think we've done it. I'm actually tracking drums with Tommy [Lee] tomorrow. And it's an outstanding song. I think it's gonna be an absolutely amazing way to go out swinging."

Michael’s revelation is in keeping in line with guitarist Mick Mars previous statement to DJ Eddie Trunk on his Sirius XM show ‘Trunk Nation.’ "I just wrote a new song with Nikki, and we're gonna be finishing it up, like, within the next couple of months,” stated Mars. “There'll be a new single [released in time for the upcoming tour]."

It wouldn’t be the first time the band has released a single in conjunction with a tour. In 2012, they released the song ‘Sex’ right before embarking on a nationwide jaunt with Kiss dubbed simply, ‘The Tour.’
