A Casper man pleaded not guilty to two counts of second degree sexual abuse of a minor during his arraignment in Natrona County District Court on Wednesday.

Michael Earnest Andrews, who was 39 at the time of his arrest, entered his plea before District Court Judge Daniel Forgey.

Investigators with the Casper Police Department reported the alleged female victim claimed Andrews touched her inappropriately three times from January 2008 through December 2009,

When interviewed, Andrews acknowledged he knew what had happened. In one instance, he said he was under a great deal of stress from having to serve nights in jail on an unrelated matter at the time, and he was having issues with his ex-wife and other child.

If convicted, he could face up to 20 years imprisonment on each charge.

Andrews is free on bond.
