Memorial Day Ceremony To Be Held At Oregon Trail Cemetery

Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville is the sight for the Memorial Day Ceremony. Activities will begin at 11am Monday May 26th.

The speaker will be Lt. Col. (ret) Peter J. Schmatzer, senior Army instructor of the Mustang Battalion at Natrona County High School, Former Casper Police Chief Chris Walsh will be master of ceremonies, and Chaplain Michael Stedillie will give the invocation and the benediction. The honor guard will be provided by the Casper NCHS Junior ROTC. Cecil V. Barnes will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and Robert D. Meloy will close the ceremony with a performance of Taps. The public is invited to help place flags at the cemetery at 9:00 am, on Saturday, May 24th
