May 3, 2012 — Warm Temperatures with a Few Thunderstorms and Showers
The weather will be fairly quiet across Wyoming for the next couple of days. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies in central and eastern counties will allow temperatures to rise into the 70s and perhaps the lower 80s on Friday in some areas on Friday afternoon. Casper will see highs in 70s, and it will be a bit breezy at times. South to southwest winds up to 30 mph are expected. Meanwhile, it will be cooler in the northwest where daytime highs will only make the 50s.
Speaking of the northwest, that area will continue to be in the best position for precipitation. Developing scattered showers will be possible there both today and Friday, with a chance for a rain/snow mix at night and in the mountains. There will not be as atmospheric moisture in the lower elevations. However, a few isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out in the north and on the eastern plains.
