Since 'Mad Men' manages to keep its cast and plots so tightly under wraps right up through airing, we're always intrigued to see when the AMC drama's cast head elsewhere for work. Viewers of 'Mad Men' season 5 will well remember that Peyton List's Jane Sterling wrapped things up with Roger rather conclusively, but does the actress' casting in CW pilot 'The Tomorrow People' mean we won't be seeing the character in 'Mad Men' season 6? Learn about Peyton List's new role inside!

'Mad Men' rarely keeps its peripheral characters out of the limelight for too long, but Sterling-Cooper-Draper-Pryce may have seen the last of Peyton List's Jane Sterling. Deadline reports that the actress has joined The CW's buzz-worthy pilot adaptation of 'The Tomorrow People,' in the leading female role.

Stop us if you've heard this one before, between the likes of 'Heroes' and the recently-cancelled 'Alphas,' but 'The Tomorrow People' follows young people from around the world who represent the next stage in human evolution, possessing special powers such as teleportation and telepathy. List will take the role of group member Cara, who masks a sense of humor with her more serious demeanor and proves a trustworthy ally.

Written / executive produced by Phil Klemmer, executive produced by 'The Vampire Diaries' Julie Plec and 'Arrow' EP Greg Berlanti and directed / executive produced by Danny Cannon, 'The Tomorrow People' is adapted from the cult British series of the same name. Peyton List in particular has previously maintained a recurring role in ABC series 'FlashForward,' so it remains to be seen if her 'Mad Men' character will be affected by 'The Tomorrow People.'

Well, what say you? Are you interested to see Peyton List move into a leading role with 'The Tomorrow People?' What do you hope to see from 'Mad Men' season 6 when it premieres on Sunday, April 7?
