Brad Keselowski said in the pre-race that the best way to win the Chase for the Sprint Cup was to win races, and that is exactly what the Miller Lite team did at the AAA 400 at the Monster Mile.

Sunday's race really came down to fuel mileage for quite a few of the teams.  Keselowski was able to conserve enough to get the victory, with Jimmie Johnson having to give up a few positions on the last laps to finish fourth.  That puts Brad Keselowski at the top of the Chase point standings, and 5 points ahead of Jimmie Johnson.  This was Brad's second win in the chase for the cup, his first win at Dover International Speedway, and the ninth of his career.

Up next it is race 30 of 36 with the "Good Sam 500" at Talledaga Superspeedway, the last of the four restrictor plate races this year.  Television coverage will be on ESPN beginning at 12 noon central time... (interesting fact - in the first three plate races this year, Fords led 56% of all laps.)

Here are the point standings in the Chase for the Sprint Cup...

Something really cool scheduled for next week at Texas Motor Speedway... Goodyear will be conducting tests on the new 2013 Sprint Cup Cars October 9th and 10th and the public is invited.  With the 2013 cars, we will get a preview of the new and unique design features from Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota with the cars closely resembling their showroom counterparts.  Drivers scheduled to attend are Kyle Busch, Juan Pablo Montoya, and Greg Biffle. The October 9th test day will be open to the public for free, with parts of the grandstand, the Sprint Cup Garage, and Pit Road open for all to visit.  More information on this event is available at TexasMotorSpeedway.com.
