As long as there are two highs schools in Casper there is always going to be an Trojans/Mustangs rivalry. It's been going on for decades. Last night that rivalry took a turn into new territory as the Kelly Walsh Trojans took down the NC Mustangs 47-27.

Jacob Tapp came to play with a hot hand shooting three's like they were geese in a bucket finishing with 13 points. And he had some significant help from Beecher Strube with 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocked shots. The Trojans (9-9, 3-2) held the N.C. Mustangs (6-10, 2-3) to their lowest point total so far this season.

For the Mustangs who struggled from the field, were led by senior Nathan Pieper's eight points, the conference loss puts the Mustangs in a conference hole vs. the Trojans who can vie for one of the conference's top spots only one game out of first.
