JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Officials at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort say their snowmaking efforts have been going well.

Resort Vice President and General Manager Tim Mason says the snowmaking effort is off to a great start and ahead of schedule in its effort to open by Thanksgiving.

Mason tells the Associated Press that the resort will be open and offer good skiing, even if some runs won't open until after the official start of the season.

Snowmakers have been working 24 hours a day since Oct. 21 and will continue to work through the middle of January to keep the mountain in top shape.
