Jack White is coming to Wyoming, we just don't where or when. After performing at this weekend's Coachella festival, the former frontman for the White Stripes, Dead Weather and The Racounters announced he will be playing a series of acoustic shows in each of the five states where he's never toured before.

Those states are Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Idaho and Alaska. According to his website, Jackwhiteiii.com, each performance will be announced day of show at 8 a.m. local time. Tickets for these engagements are priced at $3 per ticket and will be limited to one ticket per person. All tickets will be sold at the venue door starting at 12 p.m. local time on the day of the show.

So when and where will this mysterious concert take place? Here's a hint: White says the shows will be the first entirely acoustic concerts of his career and they will use a "ribbon microphone" to amplify sound to the audience. Which means, you can probably rule out a big venue like the Casper Events Center or the Arena Auditorium in Laramie. Even a 1,500 seat venue like the Cheyenne Civic Center might be too big.

Chances are, he'll likely perform at a small theater like the Gryphon Theatre in Laramie, the Durham Auditorium at Casper College, The Atlas Theater in Cheyenne or the Jackson Hole Playhouse.

As for when this show will take place? We know this series of acoustic concerts will be his last before taking an extended hiatus from touring. This weekend, White will take the stage for the second weekend of the Coachella festival in Southern California. Depending on where he starts, expect White's first visit to Wyoming to happen sometime next week.
