To say there's nothing to do in Casper is a worn out phrase.  Personally I'm sick of hearing it! Friday night, downtown, in the newly remolded Wolcott Galleria (a remolded theater complete with balcony, perfect stage;  a remarkable hot spot back in the 40's and now beautifully re-done) there is going to be an extremely HOT, intimate, musical event. Opening the show will be Wyoming's own John Kirlin & The High Plains Drifters debuting their 2nd full length, brand new CD "Porch Horses," (with CD art by Zac Pullen) followed by Jalan Crossland with a remarkable solo show.  Then the headliners. Straight out of Brooklyn New York....The Wiyos. Where the High Plains Drifters are now "Punk Blue Grass" with their new cd...The Wiyos are "Gangster Blue Grass Rock" offering their own own slant, some featuring acoustic renditions of music from the latest release Twist; a dark, urban, pre-rock kind of rock that sounds like Chicago and trains in addition to digging deep into the bands old-time vaudeville roots. Tickets are available at The Corridor, Windy City Books, Fields Creek 104, and Derby Boutique (all shops are downtown). Doors open at 6:30 with the show at 7. For those who wait till the last minute....shows almost sold out.
