After some quiet weather across the state, we will start to see more thunderstorm activity develop later today and then continue on Saturday.  A front will cross the state later today into Saturday morning.  Scattered thunderstorms developing in the west along the front will spread east this evening and tonight.   Thunderstorms are then again expected to redevelop in the northern and in the eastern half of the state on Saturday.   These thunderstorms will be capable of producing gusty winds, frequent lightning and brief heavy rain.

The fire danger remains very high to extreme.  A Red Flag Warning is in effect for a good portion of the state through 9pm tonight.  Please continue to use extreme caution.

The front will not do much for temperatures in the east where daytime highs  will stay in the upper 80s and 90s.  Further west, temperatures will range from the 70s to the lower 80s.
