How Wyomingites Feel About The Song “Better Man” [POLL RESULTS]

By now you probably know she wrote the song “Better Man,” but gave it to Little Big Town. How sweet LBT made Taylor’s song sound, but about the lyrics, we polled for Wyomingite opinion of “Better Man.”

LBT’s Karen Fairchild said, “Taylor (Swift) sent us this song and it was one that was very special to her.”

I wonder now if the key word is was special. Maybe she gave up the tune because she really broke the habit of her own stories - basically wishing every one of her boyfriends could have been better men. I mean they couldn't have all been bad guys, unless that's just how she picked them all. Many other TayTay tunes were about other guys, and she always made it sound like the guy was the one at fault. Was it always him? If she really has gotten sick of that same old story, herself, it'd be good to hear.

I read somewhere that the "Swifties" speculate the song is probably from around 2010, which means she could have written “Better Man” for her album Red. Maybe this song’s subject was Red’s whole muse, Jake Gyllenhaal. We have all kinds of speculation. She’d never tell, but I think her tunes may be very telling about her.

Karen also said, “Everybody has a better man. It might have been a lover, or a parent that disappointed you. I think the beauty of the storytelling is that we can all relate to being disappointed by someone, and still love them, but say ‘Enough is enough.’ This would have been amazing if you would have gotten your act together.”

Fair enough, Fairchild, but we’ve all heard what a man hater Taylor is – or was. I mean I hope now that’s was. So, when I first saw the lyrics of “Better Man,” I thought, “Ain’t this quintessential T’Swiz.”

I could never say this to an ex but what if I ever did try to tell one, "You just should have been a better woman.” How would that have gone over? I'm tired of listening to female tunes flat out insulting men, like Kelsea Ballerini, “You’ll always be a Peter Pan.” I used to pick women who said things like that. They were a habit I broke.
