If you've made the drive from Casper to Laramie, or vice versa, it's pretty certain you're familiar with Bosler and Rock River.

I've often wondered as I passed through each, how and why did people choose to reside there.

Bosler has some interesting old buildings. The people with the Lincoln Highway Association had an opinion about Bosler:

"One railroad crossing at grade, not protected. One Railroad, 3 general business places, express company, telephone, one newspaper, two public schools. Good hunting and fishing. Camp site."

Rock River, I guess you could say was a little more progressive. They had three banks including, the State Bank of Rock River, First National Bank of Rock River and Rock River State Bank.
