After a short reprieve from the hot temperatures over the past few days in some parts of the state, the heat will be returning.  Today and Thursday daytime highs are expected to rise back into the 90s in central and eastern Wyoming, with upper 70s to the mid 80s in the higher elevations.

High pressure continues to dominate the weather and there continues to be some moisture moving within this ridge that will keep us in line for daily chance of isolated to scattered thunderstorms statewide.  Not everyone will see the precipitation each day, but the thunderstorms will be around in the afternoon and evening.  The moisture is good news, but these thunderstorms will be capable of producing strong, gusty winds and frequent lightning as well.  This continues to be of a concern due to the very high to extreme fire danger across much of the state.  With the exception of the southeast corner,  the state is under a Red Flag Warning until 12 midnight tonight.
