Happy 63rd birthday to Ace Frehley. Fresh off a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, Ace has turned his attention to his latest solo project.

The new collection, titled Space Invader, will be Frehley's first since 2009's Anomaly, which in turn was his first solo release in 20 years.  Space Invader is coming along nicely, Frehley says.

The first single from Space Invader will be a familiar classic to music lovers.

The first single from Space Invader, says Ace, is "a remake of Steve Miller's 'The Joker.'  [It's] great.  I think everybody's going to be pleasantly surprised.  I made it my own, I gave it the little Ace Frehley spin."

As for the single's status, Frehley says, "'The Joker' is pretty much mixed and is going to be the first single.  And the rest of the songs will be mixed by the end of April, we'll have it in in the can and then we have two months to put it out."

Space Invader hits retail and digital outlets on June 24.
