A 34-year-old Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, man has entered a guilty plea on charges stemming from an online threat made against residents of Casper. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Oklahoma, Glenn Kirkham made the online threat on January 14th, claiming he was initiating an an attack that day in Casper, using guns, knives and a baseball bat, among other unconventional weapons.

He made the threat on the online forum 4chan, and callers from around the country called the Casper Police Department to notify the agency of the posting. Among the precautions taken were a lock-down of dozens of public schools in Casper and Natrona County.

Kirkham faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 find, along with costs associated with local emergency responders.
