Gregg Allman Is A Living Legend According To Classic Rock Magazine

Classic Rock magazine, yesterday chose Gregg Allman as the recipient of this year's Living Legend Award.

The magazine is based in the U.K., however the event will take place at The Avalon in Hollywood, California, on November 4th as part of the Classic Rock Roll of Honor ceremony. This will be the first time the ceremony has taken place outside of London in its ten year history.

Classic Rock editor Sian Llewellyn says, "Where can you start with Gregg Allman?  As a founding member and guiding light of the Allman Brothers Band and a hugely influential solo artist, Gregg has touched the lives of rock fans all over the globe for over four decades."

For his part, Allman responds, "I am so very honored to be receiving this award from Classic Rock.  The magazine is one of my favorites, and they are always so generous to me and the Brothers."
