Kasey Orr was in Glenrock the other day working on gathering sports news from the high school teams (he works at The Glenrock Independent and Douglas Budget newspapers).

Kasey came upon a parking lot where a brother and sister were riding their bikes. The young girl took a hard slide and started crying. Her brother rolled up beside her, left his bike in the middle of the lot in order to carry his sister home for help.

He asks, "why can't that be a kind of hero we revere? Why don't we see things like THIS in the news?"  Then he remembered that he reports the news...so he put it in on the Glenrock Independent website!

I say, kudos to those kids (and their parents) for doing the right thing and in the process reminding the rest of us that all hope for the next generation is not lost!  I'm inspired!
