Geniuses Invent Beer Coaster That Charges Cell Phones

Is your cellphone battery constantly running low? Now, thanks to modern technology, you will soon be able to charge your phone, or any other electronic advice, using a can of beer.

The onE Puck is the latest development from Epiphany Labs. The device operates like a beer coaster, using a stirling engine powered by variances in temperature. Plug your phone in, turn the coaster on the red side and a hot drink can power up your cellphone. Turn the coaster on the blue side and your ice cold beer can bring your phone back to life without using any electricity.

After launching a Kickstarter fund online, makers of the onE Puck recently raised over $100,000, which will help fund their first round of production. Developers claim the product will be able to power any smartphone or device using a USB charger drawing less than 1000 mA.
