Gas prices are really low right now—around $1.50 per gallon in some parts of the country and on Monday, the cost of a barrel of oil just fell even further, dropping to pre-recession prices, Currently, a barrel of crude oil costs just $37, which is $71 less than what it cost last June, when it reached its peak of $108. Gas prices were $3.68 per gallon back then.

I feel for the industry workers in Wyoming rightfully concerned about their employment stability with Wyoming gas prices dropping $.05.1 cents per gallon over the past week.

GasBuddy says Wyoming gas is $.80.7 cheaper than a year ago and down $.20.5 from a month ago. Our national average gas is down $.18.5 a gallon over the last month. That’s great news for drivers, but lets keep our neighbors in mind and maybe give a prayer or good thoughts if you are so inclined.

If you need gas up in Casper, the best prices are at Sam’s Club for $1.82, with $1.84 at Sinclair E. Second and South Jefferson. Conoco on E. Second is selling theirs for $1.86.

If you’re looking to gas up in Cheyenne, the best prices are under the $2.00 mark at $1.72 at Sam’s Club on Dell Range. $1.73 at Gasamat on E. Lincolnway and at $1.74 at Big D on Lincolnway

This is good news with holiday travel in the near future.
