It was one heck of a fishing story. 3 years ago, fisherman 36-year-old Jose Alvarenga and a 22-year-old Ezequiel Cordoba went fishing off the coast of Mexico. A storm knocked out their communication systems, washed away their supplies, and they wound up stranded in the Pacific Ocean for OVER A YEAR!

They survived on rain water, fish and birds . . . but one of the birds made Ezequiel sick and he died.

Jose eventually washed up on shore in the Marshall Islands after 15 months.  It's the longest anyone has ever survived at sea.

But now the kid’s family think Jose ATE their son, and are suing him for $1 million.  Jose says it's not true. he just pushed Ezequiel's body overboard after he died.

He wrote a book about his misadventures and even though it's not selling that well, the Cordobas want a $1 Million piece
