Casper Fire-EMS officials are asking the public to stay away from busy roadways while fire watching.

Spokesman, Jason Parks says there’s been problems with people stopping along Wyoming Boulevard to get a look at the fire..

“This is creating a traffic hazard and we’d encourage those folks to find a better place not along the roadway there. It could cause us some accidents.”

In addition to the traffic congestion and unsafe conditions that slow-moving traffic can cause on Wyoming Blvd., there is an additional risk of fire from high-temperature exhaust systems coming into contact with dry brush as vehicles leave the road and enter ditches and shoulders.

Casper police and WYDOT officials are currently patrolling the area and directing traffic.
