Battling the flu, and battling a fierce field of competition, Elliott Sadler claimed his third NASCAR Nationwide Series race of the 2012 season in Chicago.

Not only did he pick up the win in the STP 300, but he also picked up $100,000 for the Nationwide Dash 4 Cash Bonus.

The race was scheduled for 200 laps, but with a green and white checkered finish it ended up being 201 laps, in the restart Justin Allgaier tried to block Stenhouse Jr. to hold on to second place, but Stenhouse was able to get around him in turn 2 on the final lap.  Finishing the race in Chicago was Sadler for the win, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in second, Justin Allgaier third, Kenny Wallace in fourth and finishing fifth was Michael Annett.  (Danica finished 14th, and again the fault was with everybody and everything else.)

Next week, the NASCAR Sprint Cup is back at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with the Crown Royal Curtis Shaver 400 Sunday July 29, at 11 a.m. (cst) on ESPN. (The last 17 races of the year are on ESPN channels.)
