Mercer Family Resource Center is currently preparing for Elf Shop 2012!

What is the Elf Shop?  In Casper, there are numerous families in need and while we typically think of giving gifts to the children in these families, what the Elf Shop actually does is allow these young people an opportunity to select gifts to GIVE to their family members ... all free of charge!  Children are learning the value of giving and not just receiving at Christmas time.

How can I help?  They are in need of all types of gifts for all ages. Toys for siblings, tools for dad, bath salts for mom, home decor, gloves, hats, and pretty much anything else that could be given as a gift.

They are also in need of wrapping supplies. Gift bags of all sizes are actually most time efficient and can be re-used by the families for future Christmases.

Mercer FRC is also searching for prospective elves to help children shop for their gifts. This is a great event for teens and tweens to volunteer their time to younger children and families in need

Where can I donate?  For information on how to volunteer or make donations, please call Laura Grogan at 265-7366. Donations may be dropped at Mercer Family Resource Center (535 W. Yellowstone, Casper).  They'll take donations all the way up to the day of the event ... December 8th!
