Before becoming a member of the legendary metal band Megadeth, Chris Broderick cut his teeth in the Denver rock music scene.  The Colorado native left Megadeth last year and recently announced the formation of a new group called Act of Defiance, which will also feature former members of Scar The Martyr and Shadows Fall.

Broderick's new band quickly signed a deal with Metal Blade Records and is currently preparing to release their debut album this summer. This week, Act of Defiance unleashed an audio clip from the song "Throwback" on YouTube.

Broderick's journey began in Denver in the late 90's, when he played guitar for several local bands while attending the University of Denver.  After gaining some success with his group Jag Panzer, he was recruited to join the Seattle band Nevermore. That led to his six year stint with Megadeth, which ended last year.
