Wrapping up a quick three day tournament in Laramie the University of Wyoming Cowboys Basketball team dodged a bullet last night against a fast starting Southern University Jaguars. Southern jumped out to a quick nine point lead early in the first half and then extended that lead midway through the second half leading 46-38.

But senior forward Leonard Washington's 17 points (named Tournament MVP) made the difference as the Cowboys battled back with the assistance of Larry Nance's 10 points and eight rebounds to win 67-60 and move to 4-0 on the season. Larry Shyatt's Cowboys go on the road Wednesday night for a match up against Northern Colorado in Greeley at 7pm. Game can be heard on our sister station AM 1030 KTWO.
