The Wyoming Cowboys will face plenty of tests during the non-conference portion of the 2017-2018 men’s basketball season.

Head coach Allen Edwards revealed the slate Friday. It features games at Final Four participant South Carolina, Oregon State and previously announced Cayman Islands Classic. Wyoming will play seven home games during the non-conference portion of the upcoming season.

The season officially starts Nov. 10 versus the Chattanooga Mocs. That’s after an exhibition against Regis on Nov. 3.

The first road game is at Oregon State Nov. 13. That’s followed by the Pokes’ trip to Grand Cayman Islands for the tournament Nov. 20-22. UW opens against South Dakota State at 1:30 p.m., Nov. 20.

November ends with a home game against New Mexico Highlands Nov. 26 and a road game at Denver Nov. 29.

Five of the six December non-conference games will be at the AA in Laramie. The Cowboys host Drake in the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge on Dec. 2. That’s followed by the trip to South Carolina to face the Gamecocks on Dec. 6.

Pacific makes their visit to the Gem City on Dec. 9 to being a four-game home-stand. In a rematch from the CBI first round, Eastern Washington comes back to Laramie Dec. 12. NCAA tournament participant Texas Southern visits on Dec. 16 before Wyoming closes out non-league play on Dec. 19 hosting Northern Colorado.

Announcements regarding game times and any television coverage will come at a later date, though dates are subject to change because of TV.

The Cowboys’ MW schedule was announced earlier. UW opens league play Wednesday, Dec. 27 at home against San Diego State. Wyoming finished 19-3 at home last season.
