For the second year in a row, Chrysler’s Super Bowl 2012 commercial featured a big star, and talk of an inspirational turnaround. Last year, in a memorable spot, Eminem informed the Super Bowl’s audience that Detroit, embattled hometown of both the rapper and Chrysler, was on the comeback trail.

This year, it was Clint Eastwood with a similar message. But instead of just focusing on Detroit, this ad was about the nation as a whole.

“It’s halftime in America too. People are out of work and they’re hurting,” Eastwood explained, in his disctictive rasp. “They’re all wondering what they’re going to do to make a comeback and they’re all scared because this isn’t a game.”

“We’ll find a way through tough times, and if we can’t find a way we’ll make one,” Clint continued, in the ad that ran just before the second half of the big game.

So what did you think of Eastwood’s ”halftime” pep talk? Does it make you want to go out there and make America the best America it can be for ol’ Clint?
