It’s happened before, and probably will happen again sometime in the future, But Christina Aguilera hopes the love of her Country came through even though she flubbed the National Anthem before the big game.

“I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through,” she told the Associated Press in a statement.

Many people took to Twitter to criticize Aguilera over the fumble of the Anthem. I don’t think it was intentional, but it is a huge stage, and everyone is watching. There have been many disastrous renditions of the anthem in the past,(Rosanne Barr) but I’ll stand behind Christina…I still have your back!
