Late Tuesday morning, Cheyenne police found the body of 13 year old Cheyenne resident Alexander Frye on property owned by the Union Pacific Railroad at the west end of the rail yard in a field south of Ames underpass.

Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Lew Simpson says Alexander was reported missing by his father in the early morning hours of January 1st. Cheyenne Police as well as numerous volunteers from the community began searching for Frye.

Simpson says due to the nature of the situation, the Victim Assistance Division of the Cheyenne Police Department will hold a Critical Incident Debriefing at the American Legion Post 6 on East Lincolnway on Wednesday at 10 A. M. The death continues to be investigated by detectives from the Cheyenne Police Department.
