Cheyenne Frontier Days 2013 Draws Big Crowds

Cheyenne Frontier Days officials say overall attendance was strong fro CFD 2013, including a new record attendance for a night show.

According to Frontier Days spokeswoman Nicole Gamst, Friday night's performance by Jason Aldean sold 25,000 tickets, smashing the previous CFD night show record of 23, 762 set by George Strait in 2004. Gamst also says the total tickets sold for Cheyenne Frontier Days night shows, including both tickets at the gate and prior to the shows, were over 250,000.

Gamst says the exact total needs to be confirmed, but preliminary numbers indicate it approaches the all-time CFD night show record which was set in 1996, the 100th anniversary of CFD. Gamst says the preliminary numbers for CFD events show total rodeo attendance of 83, 412, while the pancake breakfasts  fed 31, 638. She says it looks like 59, 447 people visited the Indian Village during CFD 2013.
