Celebrities Are Speaking Out About Death Of Amy Winehouse

Another tragic loss of a young gifted but troubled star has caused many celebrities to speak out about the death of Amy Winehouse.

Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones was among those who spoke highly of Winehouse, and he decicated the Faces reunion show that night to her memory.

“It’s a very sad loss of a very good friend I spent many great times with,” Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Woodsaid Saturday during his show on the UK’s Absolute Radio, reports  He added that his reunion concert with the Facesthat night in Surrey, England, would be dedicated to Winehouse.

The Who offered a brief message on their Twitter pagethat simply read, “Amy Winehouse. Tragedy. R.I.P.”

Bryan Adams also tweetedabout Winehouse’s death, writing, “Dear Amy, you will be missed forever. All my love, RIP, Bryan.”

Former Skid Rowfrontman Sebastian Bachsent out his own message to Winehouse via Twitter, acknowledging the difficulty some stars have handling success.  “Dear Amy W, it is a rough crazy business & there is nothing like being on stage,” he tweeted. “Once u feel that nothing else compares. Your pain is gone. RIP.”

Legendary crooner Tony Bennett, who reportedly was the last person to collaborate with Winehouse, said in a statement to Us Weekly, “I am deeply saddened to learn of her tragic passing.  She was an extraordinary musician with a rare intuition as a vocalist.”

Bennett added about Winehouse, “I am truly devastated that her exceptional talent and has come to such an early end.  She was a lovely and intelligent person and when we recorded together she gave a soulful and extraordinary performance.”  Bennett and Winehouse recently recorded a version of the pop standard “Body and Soul” for Tony’s upcoming album Duets II, due out in September.
