Extreme Fire Danger and More Dry Weather

Much of the state is under a Red Flag Warning through 7pm tonight.  Strong, gusty northwest winds sustained at 15 to 25 mph, with gusts to 35 mph are expected.

Later today a dry cold front will cross the state.

Hot, Dry Weather With Little Chance of Thunderstorms

It is going to be a toasty couple of days across the Cowboy State.  Highs today and Wednesday will top off in the 80s and 90s and from 100 to 105 in parts of the southeast.  This heat, low relative humidity and an increase in the wind later today continues to keep the fire danger very high to extreme.  A Red

Hot and dry high pressure will be positioned over Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain West through at least mid-week.  As a result, our weather conditions will be just that and we may even see some record highs on Tuesday and Wednesday.

With more sun around today, temperatures will once again start to heat up across the state.  Highs will range from the lower 80s to the lower 90s over the next couple of days.

Decreasing Clouds, Mild Temperatures

Cloud cover will be decreasing west to east today across the Cowboy State.  We will see a continuing chance of some shower and thunderstorm activity, especially in the south and east.  High pressure will build over the state and region on Tuesday.

Milder, Still Mostly Dry

Milder temperatures will be found across Wyoming today, but especially so for the eastern half of the state.  Cloud cover will also linger across much of eastern Wyoming through the afternoon.  Sunshine returns to the state for Friday and the weekend.

A fairly strong cold front is starting to work its way through the state.   Clouds, wind and developing showers and thunderstorms will spread through northern and central Wyoming through this afternoon along the front.
