No Major Growth In Fire Near Rawlins
A wildfire in south-central Wyoming’s Carbon County isn’t spreading but continues to burn within its perimeter.
The Ferris Fire, about 30 miles northeast of Rawlins, has burned about 8,800 acres and was 67 percent contained Tuesday.
Fire managers say several new fires were started by lighting in the area on Monday night

A heavy amount of smoke rolled into Casper this morning, but there are no fires in Natrona County or the immediate area. A cold front rolled into the region this morning, and atmospheric conditions helped carry smoke from wildfires in northeast Wyoming and southern Montana into the area.
