BLM Lifts Fire Restrictions

The Bureau of Land Management has lifted the fire restrictions on BLM-administered lands, in the Casper, Buffalo and Newcastle Field Offices.

Cooler temperatures and increased moisture have helped improve conditions so that the following activities can resume on BLM-administered public lands:

• Building, maintaining, attending or using a fire or campfire.
• Smoking.

Crews Gain Control Over Wildfire On The West End Of Casper Mountain

A wildland fire on the western end of Casper Mountain is now fully contained. Natrona County Fire District Inspector Dave Baker said crews were still on the scene late Tuesday putting out hotspots, and there are areas of timber that will take time to fully extinguish.
