You know it's a special occasion when rock, rap, country bands and more come together to put on a show. But a special occasion it was on Saturday night when band such as The Front, Dang Ol' Boys and more shared the stage for a concert benefitting women stricken with cervical cancer.
The Crue will become the first hard rock band to play a Las Vegas residency when they descend upon the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in February 2012.
Paul McCartney played his only London gig of 2011 last night (Dec. 5) — and he made it count, delivering a hits-packed, three-hour set to his O2 Arena fans, including several songs he’d never played in the UK before.
But that wasn’t all McCartney had in store for fans: as the evening drew to a close, he told the crowd he had a “surprise” for them before bringing out Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood, who joined McCartney for an energetic performance of ‘Get Back.’
Just a few days after joining Joan Jett on stage at Madison Square Garden for a surprise performance of her classic hit ‘Bad Reputation,’ the Foo Fighters reunited with the rock icon on last night’s ‘Late Show with David Letterman.’
The all-star combo treated the studio audience to another fiery run-through of ‘Bad Reputation,’ with Jett in fine voice and the Foos thrashing through the song like their lives depended on it. Black Sabbath‘s original lineup has officially announced that they will reunite in 2012, kicking off a world tour by headlining the Download Festival in England on June 10. That will be followed by more concerts and the fall release of the band’s first album together in 33 years.

Roger Waters is bringing The Wall 2012 Tour to North America, and I can hardly wait! To this day, "The Delicate Sound of Thunder" is one of my all time favorite Floyd shows, but I really want to see "The Wall".
Guns N’ Roses‘ concert Sunday (Oct. 23) in Monterrey, Mexico, was stopped during the first song after crowd members began throwing unidentified flying objects onstage at the band. Singer Axl Rose halted the gig just one minute into their performance of ‘Chinese Democracy’ after the items were tossed onstage and Rose announced that they would leave if fans continued to “throw s—” at the band.
For years, I've been a huge Jimmy Buffett fan - and have made just about every Buffett Days event out at Alcova since I've lived in Wyoming. I grew up pretty close to his Southeastern stomping grounds, spent a lot of my formative years frequenting the same Gulf Coast beaches and bars that inspired a lot of his music. However, for some reason, seeing his live show was just one of those things that never worked out. That finally changed on Tuesday night, as Jimmy and his Coral Reefers returned to Denver after an 8-year absence, to play the Pepsi Center with almost 20,000 wide-open Parrotheads in attendance.
