It was June of 2013 that Patch showed up at the Casper Animal Shelter. His hooman had died, and he was suddenly taken from familiar surroundings and placed into an animal shelter. Luckily, it is one of the better shelters, but a shelter non the less. Patches life was suddenly upside down.

You would hope his life would get better, but day after day... after day.... goes by and no one has chosen to take Patch home. Dogs can go crazy when their hoomans are gone for a few hours, but in this case, some 1,245 days have come and gone. That could be spirit crushing for a dog who just wants to give and receive love.

Despite the excellent care of the shelter workers, Patch has not had a loving home of his own in almost 4 years. That’s a shame. Patch loves to play ball and is active for his age. This pit-mix loves people but doesn’t do well with other animals.

But you or someone you know may have a hole in your life that could be filled by the kind of unconditional love that a dog can provide. If you think you could improve both of your lives, consider the responsibilities carefully and realistically and if you still can open your heart and your home, stop by for a visit at 849 E. E Street and talk with Craig Cummings or any of the staffers at the Casper Animal Shelter…. about Patch a dog that could use you in his life and bring love to yours.

Almost 4 years without a loving home is enough already.
