Casper Woman Accused of Stabbing Boyfriend

A 42-year-old Casper woman is under arrest for a stabbing incident. Cathy Long is accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the chest Sunday night.

The boyfriend says it was the result of a psychotic episode and police report she was not completely coherent during questioning.

The stabbing came after an argument the boyfriend says concerned his upset over the death of a friend.

It culminated with her allegedly following him outside with a knife and plunging it into his chest. The wound is about an inch deep and not serious.

Long is in the Natrona County Detention Center awaiting charges and arraignment.
