The Casper Recreation Center is introducing the Casper Ballroom Dance Club (CBDC), the newest and most exciting activity for HIGH SCHOOL TEENS ONLY!

This is a new ballroom performance group coached by a professional dance instructor with over 12 years teaching experience. Learn a hot salsa routine or thrilling swing dance with lifts and stunts!

Absolutely NO dance experience required!

Students will be taught the basics in ballroom dance as well as learn professionally choreographed show routines that they will perform throughout the year. This is an open class but requires serious commitment to attend class each week. Class will meet Monday evenings from 6:05-7:05 pm beginning January 14.

Also new to the Recreation Center is a special Ballroom class for youth, ages 10-15. This class designed for beginners will introduce the Swing, Cha-Cha and Foxtrot. Students will make new friends, learn social manners and etiquette, and grow confident in their new dance steps. These skills will be useful for an entire lifetime! Class meets on Thursdays from 4:15-5:15 pm beginning January 17.

And not to leave the adults out, classes will be offered for the beginner dancer taught in a progressive style with four weeks dedicated to Waltz, Swing, Tango and Salsa. Every student can master the steps in this amount of time. No partner needed, singles will rotate partners during class time. Couples are also encouraged to sign up and discover the romantic benefits of learning to dance together. Sign up for more than one session and get 15% off registrations! Classes meet on Thursday evenings from 7:15-8:15 pm.

All classes are taught by Arica Lipp, former ballroom dance competitor and performer for several professional companies. New to our city, she brings with her over a decade of professional dance experience and a passion for both dance and teaching.
