A former Casper police detective, now an ordained minister, will be sworn in as the Casper Police Department's new Chaplain at the end of the month. According to a release from CPD, Chaplain Wes Gudahl will be voluntarily running the Department's Chaplain Program.

That program, along with the associated Police Ministry Support Program, provides services to address the mental, spiritual, and emotional health of all of the Department's personnel, especially first responders which the department says "face the daily challenges, rigors, and demands of a law enforcement career."

The swearing-in ceremony will be held on March 31st at 10:00 at Highland park Community Church in Casper, and the community is invited to attend.
