It is always a treat to see people from our hometown doing big things (see also: Aquile). Such is the case with Rachel Andersen and the emergence of her "Tainted Love" screenplay which is now well on the path of becoming an actual movie.

Rachel Anderson, a notable up-and-coming screenwriter, was born in the cordial city of Casper, Wyoming. The second of three children, Rachel was raised in an environment of diverse personalities and distinct mentalities, the most perplexing, perhaps, being that of her father.

As a young woman, Rachel found herself constantly struggling to understand her father, especially with regards to his unyielding tendency to harbor such deeply rooted hatreds as those surrounding his views on the politics of race.

Despite growing up in a predominantly white area, Rachel exhibited an intrinsic belief of human equality which was ever evident in both the platonic and the romantic relationships cultivated throughout her life. In a town with a black population of less than one percent, Rachel’s unbiased nature did not go without constant criticism and backlash from her peers, many of whom would continuously lash out with such warnings as “you will never amount to anything if you date black men,” and epithets like “whigger,” and other disparaging judgments.

Through the sea of torrential challenges, Rachel maintains today, as faithfully as ever, her allegiance to her moral convictions and beliefs. Her refusal to allow the prejudices of her family and others to influence her has paved the way to the experiences which have led to the creation of her premiere big screen production, Tainted Love.

Tainted Love is the astonishing true story of the explosive collision of life’s precarious circumstances. The film profoundly introduces a world so vehemently intense and guilelessly authentic that the boundaries between life and art coalesce into a compelling portrait of reality beautifully brought to life by, sine qua non, Rachel Anderson.
