A Casper man was arrested last week for allegedly strangling his girlfriend, according to court records.

Jordan Enis was charged in Natrona County Circuit Court with strangulation of a household member and domestic battery. His bond was set at $15,000 and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

The case began Wednesday when Casper police responded to an apartment on 18th Street where the occupant said a man wanted to beat up Enis who was inside the apartment.

The man told the occupant that Enis had hurt his friend, who was Enis' girlfriend.

In an interview with police, Enis said his girlfriend began attacking him because he slept in late. The two, who have a child together, had been fighting a lot because he didn't have a job.

The girlfriend told police Enis attacked her when she tried to kick him out of the apartment because he was violent. She said he hit her, threw her to the ground, and began choking her to the point she could not breathe. Police observed fresh and old bruises around her neck, arms and body.
