A Casper man arrested Monday has told detectives that he burglarized vehicles and homes in the Casper and Bar Nunn area, according to court documents.

Brandon M. Pederson, 27, was arrested at his mother's home in Bar Nunn. He was booked on charges of burglary and aggravated burglary, but authorities say he will likely face additional charges pending the outcome of their investigation.

Investigators ask that people check their homes, vehicles and camp trailers for any missing items, and to call the Casper Police Department at 235-8278 to report anything that may have been stolen.

Detectives executed a search warrant at the home of Pederson's mother and recovered a Smith and Wesson .44 Magnum, a broken Winchester safe, white Oakley sunglasses, a Leica Rangefinder, an Apple iPad, a HiPoint pistol, a .22 rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun, four chainsaws and a black Maxx programming screen, according to the affidavit.

Their search also allegedly turned up numerous pneumatic, electric and hand tools, a tow strap and hunting and fishing gear.

The items found were reportedly recognized to have been taken during burglaries reported from October 2016 through January 2017.

Investigators say 34 burglaries reported in January alone are "more than likely" related to property recovered from the home of Pederson's mother.  Charges for those cases will be filed at a later date, according to the affidavit.

Court documents say Pederson admitted to investigators that he committed numerous auto burglaries while either high on methamphetamine or in order to get more money for methamphetamine.

Detectives used footage from security cameras to identify Pederson as the man suspected in the burglaries, the affidavit says.

He reportedly described his actions as "disgusting" during an interview with investigators.
