Casper Housing Authority presents it's 3rd Annual Father’s Day Event, A Celebration of Families. The Casper Housing Authority has organized this free event for Casper’s low-income and homeless families.

On June 20, 2015, CHA and a number of community partners will take over Washington Park, from 11:00am to 3:00pm, with a variety of free events that include a 60 foot obstacle course, a bounce house, the Giant Puppet Show, a Bubble Tower, free BBQ, snow cones and cotton candy. Each organization will provide a kids activity at their booth, while families are connected with much needed community services.

The Father’s Day Event is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development initiative that aims to strengthen the bond between children and their fathers with the goal of connecting Dads to supportive services in their communities including, job training, health screenings and education opportunities. Casper Housing Authority first participated in 2013 and entertained over 1200 people. In 2014, it was even bigger, expanding to over 30 non-profit organizations and businesses who gathered to offer information and activities to more than 1,400 participants. Father’s Day 2015 continues to grow, serving families in our community.

Other highlights of the day include Flashback and Chad Lore performing and DJ music by CJ Sound. The Grub Hub BBQ station will be manned by Sinclair, Pepsi will be onsite with beverages and CHA is sponsoring the Cotton Candy free for all the kids. The Casper Fire Department and the Casper Police Department will also be on hand to help us celebrate dad's special day!

The event is made possible by the help of a number of community partners including Wyoming Behavioral Institute, Sinclair, Pepsi, Banker's Life & Casualty, Pepsi, Hilltop National Bank, K2TV, and Townsquare Media. For more information, check out Casper Housing Authority's facebook page.
